The Capital of Area Food Bank (CAFB) was bursting at its seams. With 300,000 people to feed, a substantial daily growth in the Austin area, and the recent economic downturn, CAFB was struggling to meet the financial needs for food and preparation space. We were brought it to get their name out and increase donations during the holiday season.
Plan of attack
It’s no secret that the holiday seasons see an increase in charitable giving. In this campaign, our objective was to encourage people to keep their donations local, by flipping the script on what we usually hear about global hunger by shifting the focus to the hunger that lives right down the street.
Media Planning and Buying
Located in high-population areas in Austin, the billboards delivered our seasonal message across Austin.
We released a series of TV commercials mirroring the local message of the billboards.
